SMS Terms

Last updated: October 17, 2026

HelpOne Software, LLC ("HelpOne") sends text messages to volunteers who ask for them, so they can keep track of their shifts. This page explains how texting works, in plain terms.

1. How you opt in

Volunteers opt in on the volunteer sign-up form. When you enter a cell phone number, an SMS consent checkbox appears below it. The box is unchecked by default, and texting is optional: you can sign up to volunteer without checking it. The checkbox reads:

"Text me about my shifts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop."

We only text you if you check that box.

2. What we text you about

We do not send marketing messages.

3. How often

Message frequency varies, depending on your shifts and your organization's schedule. Msg & data rates may apply.

4. Stopping texts and getting help

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Your privacy

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
